A SA/WPU composite coating with good thermal insulation was prepared by introducing SiO2 aerogel into waterborne polyurethane emulsion (WPU).The effects of the amount of SiO2 aerogels on the properties of SA/WPU composite coatings were discussed.The results showed that with the addition of SA,the thermal insulation,adhesion and hardness of the composite coatings were improved under the condition of maintaining good transparency.When the content of SiO2 in the composite coating was 20% of the solid content of WPU matrix,the thermal insulation performance,adhesion and hardness of the composite coating were relatively the best,and the composite transparent insulation waterborne polyurethane coating with excellent comprehensive performance could be obtained.
