Reduced graphene oxide (RGO) and Cu-BTC composites were prepared and further combined together by hydrothermal reaction to obtain high-performance adsorbent for the adsorption of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) for the adsorption of VOCs.By adjusting the reaction temperature and reaction time in the hydrothermal process, the morphology of RGO could be controlled, which further determined the adsorption ability for different gas molecules. After optimizing, the adsorption amounts of methanol and ethanol by the composite were 13.6mmol/g and 9.68mmol/g,respectively.The morphology of RGO in the prepared composite exerted a remarkably influence on its stability at high temperature, and the sample displayed the best stability when the RGO nanosheets were formed. In addition, the large specific surface area and high stability in solution of the prepared samples endowed them a potential application in the field of wastewater purification, and the adsorption amount of rhodamine-B was 18.9% higher than that of pure Cu-BTC.
