Porous organic polymers (POPs) have attracted considerable attention owing to their high surface areas and steady chemical properties.A series of characteristics in POPs,such as the abundant phenyl rings structure, high specific surface area, uniform pore size distribution and permanent porosity, make themselves suitable to adsorb carbon dioxide as adsorbents. The some representative porous organic polymers were mainly focused on for carbon dioxide capture.Their design approaches and structural characteristics were introduced, and concluding remarks and future research directions were proposed.
