In recent years,2D transition metal sulfides,represented by molybdenum disulfide(MoS2),have been widely used in the field of biomedicine.MoS2 is expected to be used as a basic material for the development of multimodal cancer therapy.The multifunctional medical system is made possible by the surface modification of MoS2 based nanocomposites.Firstly,the surface modification methods including physical adsorption and chemical bonding of 2D transition metal sulfide were briefly introduced.Then,the research progress of MoS2-based nanocomposites in therapeutic strategies of photothermal therapy,chemotherapy,gene therapy and combination of multiple methods for cancer was systematically summarized,and evaluated its biosafety.Finally,the development direction in future was pointed out.
