Research progress on structure-property relationship of transparent self-healing polymer material

Abstract

The damage of mechanical properties and decrease in transmittance for transparent polymers may appear due to wear and impact during use.Self-healing can repair the mechanical properties and the transparency,thereby prolonging their life.It has received widespread attention in recent years.The micro-phase separation structure may contribute to the self-healing of polymers,while it can also affect the transmittance of polymer materials.From the perspective of structure-property relationship,the transparent self-healing polymers such as polyurethane,polysiloxane and acrylic polymer were reviewed and prospected.
