Abstract

Thermochromic complexes were prepared by crystal violet lactone,bisphenol A and tetradecanol.Thermochromic complexes were encapsulated by melamine-formaldehyde resin as core material.Thermochromic microcapsule was prepared by in-situ polymerization.In order to study the influencing factors of the coating process,three factors including the emulsification speed,emulsifier concentration and core/shell ratio were designed.The optimal conditions for the preparation of microcapsules were determined by analyzing the encapsulation ratio and particle size of microcapsules.The morphology,chemical composition and thermal stability of microcapsules were analyzed by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC),infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy for microcapsules prepared under the optimal conditions.
