Comparative study on mechanical property of basalt fiber and its grille reinforced cement matrix composite

Abstract

Mortar is a common cement matrix.In order to compare the effects of different basalt fiber products on the mechanical properties of cement-based composites,the chopped basalt fiber and basalt fiber grilles were added to the cement matrix by incorporation and layering.The amount and layup were 0.2% and 3 layers,respectively,and the compressive and flexural mechanical properties were tested.The results showed that the chopped basalt fiber and basalt fiber grilles could enhance the mortar,and the basalt fiber grilles had better reinforcement effect,and the compressive strength and flexural strength could be increased by 51.59% and 51.03%.It shown that the basalt fiber grille with interwoven structure can play a positive role in the mechanical properties of the mortar.
