Graphene nano-sheets/polyethylene glycol (GNS/PEG) hybrid membranes were prepared by physical filling of GNS into PEG matrix.The morphology,surface chemical properties,swelling resistance and thermal properties was characterized by SEM,FT-IR,swelling measurement and TGA.GNS/PEG were applied for pervaporation desulfurization of thiophene/n-hexane mixtures.It was found that sulfur enrichment factor increased,with permeation flux decreasing first and increasing thereafter,as GNS loading increased from 0.2% to 1%.This was mainly ascribed to the variation of interlayer mass transfer channels,interface structure,free volume of PEG and intermolecular force due to the increasing of GNS loading.As operation temperature increased,the permeation flux increased,with sulfur enrichment factor decreased first and increased thereafter.As GNS loading was 1%,the permeation flux and enrichment factor were 166.34g/(m2·h) and 19.77,which was 61.29% and 26.35% higher than that of pure PEG membrane,respectively.
