Preparation and characterization of Pd/γ-Al2O3 nanofiber by electrospinning

Abstract

Pd/γ-Al2O3 loaded with γ-Al2O3 nano-palladium nanofiber was prepared by electrospinning technique.The effects of different concentrations of aluminum chloride and palladium chloride on the diameter and morphology of Pd/γ-Al2O3 were investigated.Pd/γ-Al2O3 were characterized by SEM,XRD,FT-IR and EDS.The results shown that the prepared nanofibers had a relatively uniform wire diameter with an average diameter of 230nm.Pd nanoparticles were evenly distributed on the fiber surface with an average diameter of 70nm.alumina was mainly presented in the form of γ-Al2O3.As the concentration increased,the fiber diameter increased,and the diameter of the Pd nanoparticles on the surface of the supported fiber decreased.As the concentration of the palladium chloride solution increased,the fiber diameter also increased.
