Preparation and property of SAPO-34 zeolite membrane on the surface of modified Al

Abstract

The influences of silane coupling agents on the structure and properties of SAPO-34 molecular sieve membrane were studied by modifying the surface of porous Al carrier with two silane coupling agents,3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (KH-550) and γ-propyltrimethoxysilane (KH-570).SEM images and XRD analysis showed that a dense and pure SAPO-34 zeolite membrane without cracks,pinholes or other defects was formed on the modified porous Al support.The gas permeation results showed that the mixed gas (H2/CO2) separation selectivity of SAPO-34 zeolite membrane after support modification reached 14.57,which was 1.87 times higher than that without support modification.
