A functional polyurea elastomer material was synthesized from diphenyl-methane-diisocyanate and poly(1,4-butanediol) bis(4-aminobenzoate) by prepolymer method,and it was irradiated by γ-rays.The change law of microstructure morphology,quasi-static and dynamic mechanical properties of the samples before and after irradiation were studied.The results of infrared spectra showed that the qualified polyurea molecular structure was synthesized,and no new group appeared or disappeared after irradiation.After irradiation,it was found that with the increase of cumulative dose,the color of the specimen changed from light yellow to dark red,and the color change on the outer surface was more significant.Compared with the unirradiated specimens,the properties of the polyurea with cumulative irradiation dose of 60-150KGy were significantly improved,and the polyurea exhibited the mechanical characteristics of the transition from rubber state to glass state at different strain rates,which shown that the polyurea synthesized had good impact resistance and gamma ray irradiation resistance.
