Abstract

It is a trend of composite material development to add organic matter to fly ash base polymer, but the addition of organic matter will affect the property of geopolymer. The geopolymer composites were prepared by organic base and hydrophilic organic polymer and fly ash,and the compressive properties of the geopolymer prepared at different ages were investigated by the types and amounts of organic compounds. The microstructure of the fracture surface of geopolymer was analyzed. The results shown that a small amount of basic organic matter can improve the strength of the geopolyme, while hydroxyethyl cellulose and polycarbamate can't effectively improve the compressive strength of the geopolyme, but both can improve the compressive failure characteristics of geopolyme.By summarizing the effect of the addition of organic matter on the compressive property of the geopolymer,a reference for the application of organic-inorganic composite geopolymer materials based on fly ash was provided.
