Abstract

Waterborne polyurethane(WPU) has high hydrophilicity,which limits development and application in many fields.Nanoparticles possess the feature of large specific surface area and small size.The excellent properties of nano-materials can be used to improve the shortcomings of WPU.The WPU modification by nano-oxides,nano-carbon materials,natural polymer nano-materials and clay nano-materials was respectively reviewed.And the prospect of WPU composites modified by nanoparticles was also discussed.
