Monomer casting(MC) nylon was prepared using static casting method,and the temperature variations caused by the thermal effects of polymerization were gathered by intelligent recording machine.Then the influences of content of initiator on the thermal effects of polymerization were compared.The results demonstrated that the temperature variation curve shown a S-shape clearly,and could be divided into three stages by the slope differences.The final temperature of polymerization was about 199℃.The maximum temperature change of polymerization was about 55℃.Polymerization could be accelerated by increasing content of initiator,but this acceleration effect became weakened in higher content.Boltzmann function showed a good performance in fitting temperature variations of MC nylon polymerization.
