Polyurethane(PUR) adhesive has the advantages of strong chemical adhesion,ultra-low temperature resistance,abrasion resistance,solvent resistance,etc.,and is widely used in aerospace,construction and electronics industry.However,PUR adhesives have the defect of poor thermal stability,and it can be improved by modification methods.The research progress of the thermal stability of PUR adhesives at home and abroad in recent years was reviewed around three modification methods including crosslinking modification (copolymerization with acrylate monomers,epoxy resins and isocyanate trimers),the introduction of heat-resistant groups (the introduction of benzene ring,silicon-oxygen bond,imide and carbon borane),composite with inorganic nano materials (nano silica,nano clay and nano carbon materials).The development trend of improving the thermal stability of PUR adhesives was prospected.
