以三乙二醇、异丁基三甲氧基硅烷为原料,首先合成关键中间体二联咪唑与单碘代笼型聚倍半硅氧烷(单碘代POSS)。二者通过季铵化反应,生成新型哑铃型POSS。利用核磁共振氢谱、硅谱及元素分析对其结构进行鉴定,并利用DSC及TGA对其热性能进行研究。结果表明,合成的哑铃型POSS熔点为199℃,热稳定性良好(Td5=294℃)。
