Quaternary ammonium cellulose (QCE) prepared by a freeze-drying method was introduced into the metal salt (FeCl3)/polyvinyl alcohol/polyacrylic acid hydrogel network to produce a QCE-g-Fe3?/PVA/PAA dual-network hydrogel (PAQFP) with self-healing properties,adhesive properties,antibacterial activity and biocompatibility.The performance of the hydrogel was tested by FT-IR,SEM,TGA,self-healing,swelling and biological experiments.The results showed that due to the ionic bonds between iron ions and carboxyl groups as well as the hydrogen bonds between the PVA molecules,the PAQFP hydrogel maintained a good self-healing performance.The PAQFP hydrogel exhibited excellent adhesion properties on various substrates,with a maximum adhesion strength of up to 25kPa to pig skin.The maximum equilibrium swelling rate of the PAQFP hydrogel under alkaline conditions was 65.23%,and its water retention capacity could be controlled by changing the pH value.The inhibition zone diameters against Staphylococcus aureus (S.aureus) and E.coli (E.coli) were 15.36mm and 20.8mm,respectively,demonstrating good antibacterial properties.The cell survival in the corresponding extract was above 90%,indicating excellent biocompatibility.
