Preparation and characterization of electroless nickel-plated PS microsphere

摘要

采用化学镀法对聚苯乙烯(PS)微球进行表面镀镍,制备导电性能良好的PS/Ni复合微球。通过扫描电子显微镜、傅里叶红外光谱仪、X射线衍射仪和能量色散谱仪对PS/Ni复合微球的形貌及化学成分进行分析,并采用四探针电阻率测试仪测试PS/Ni复合微球的导电性,研究了化学镀液pH以及镍盐和还原剂质量浓度对PS/Ni复合微球形貌及导电性的影响。结果表明:随着pH的增大,镍颗粒增大,镍镀层厚度增加,包覆更完整;当pH=8,镍盐和还原剂质量浓度均为200g/L时,制备的PS/Ni复合微球镀层包覆完整、均匀且致密,其电阻率为9.5×10-2Ω·cm。

Abstract

The polystyrene (PS)/Ni composite microspheres with good conductivity were prepared by electroless plating on the surface of PS microspheres.The morphology and chemical composition of PS/Ni microspheres after nickel plating were analyzed by scanning electron microscope(SEM),FT-IR spectroscopy(FT-IR),X-ray diffraction spectrometer(XRD) and energy dispersion spectrometer(EDS).Conductivity of PS/Ni tested by four point probe resistivity tester.And the effects of pH value,concentration of nickel salt and reducing agent on the morphology and conductivity of nickel plating were studied.The results revealed that with the increase of pH,nickel particles enlarged,the thickness of nickel raised and the coating was more complete.While pH=8 and the concentration of nickel salt and reductant was 200g/L,the PS microspheres was coated completely,uniformly and densely,and its resistance was 9.5×10-2Ω·cm.
