A new type of thermal insulation material with fireproofing was prepared with Fly ash/gangue fibers as raw materials and PVA-SiO2 sol as fiber binder.The effect of better process conditions on material properties was explored.The results showed that the optimum condition for this material were:m(PVA)∶m(Na2SiO3) kept from 4∶1 to 5∶1,the concentration of adhesive ranged from 25% to 40%.Under this condition,PCS of this material was less than 3MJ/kg,Δm was less than 20%.The combustion performance of this material reached A grade.
