Abstract

P(St-HEA)/Fe3O4 microspheres were prepared with styrene and hydroxyethyl acrylate as monomers,Fe3O4 particles as magnetic carrier,AIBN as initiator,OP-10,Span-80 and tween-80 as emulsifiers and used reverse emulsification technology.Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) showed that Fe3O4 particles were distributed in the interior and surface of the microspheres.Particle size analysis and testing results showed that the particle size of the microspheres was mainly distributed in the range of 0.1~100 microns.Thermogravimetric analysis and testing results showed that the magnetic content of the microspheres was 23.3wt%.The adsorption effect of the prepared microspheres on wastewater containing dye, organic solvent and oil was tested and discussed, respectively. The results showed that the adsorption rate of the prepared microspheres to methylene blue reached 60%,the adsorption of xylene in organic solvent pollutants reached 7.62g/g,and the adsorption of lubricating oil in oil pollutants reached 8.75g/g.
