Study on the adsorption of Cr(Ⅲ) and Zn(Ⅱ) by Cell-PGMA-PEI copolymer

Abstract

Using cellulose of rice straw as raw material,glycidyl methacrylate as monomer,benzoyl peroxide as initiator,copolymer of straw cellulose grafted GMA was prepared by aqueous solution polymerization,and modified by polyethyleneimine(PEI).Cell-PGMA-PEI was obtained,and its structure was characterized by FT-IR.Under static condition,the effects of initial concentration,adsorption time and pH on the adsorption of Cr3+ and Zn2+ by Cell-PGMA-PEI were studied.The adsorption of Cr3+ by Cell-PGMA-PEI accorded with Langmuir equation,Freundlich equation can better fit the adsorption process of Zn2+,and the adsorption kinetics of both accorded with pseudo second-order kinetics model.
