Research on transverse and longitudinal tensile properties of AFRC

Abstract

With nitrile rubber as the matrix,aramid fiber reinforced rubber composites (AFRC) were prepared by adding aramid fibers,and the effects of fiber length and fiber mass fraction on the transverse and longitudinal tensile properties of AFRC were studied.When the mass fraction increases,the transverse and vertical tensile strength of AFRC is increasing,and the initial tensile strength is generally higher than the transverse tensile strength;when the fiber mass fraction is 4% and the length is 3mm,the comprehensive performance of AFRC is better.
