Abstract: The modified graphene/HDPE PTC composites were prepared by melt-mixing method using high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and modified graphene as the filler.Scanning electron microscope (SEM),thermogravimeter and tensile tester were used to observe the microstructure of the composites,and studied the influence of modified graphene content on the thermal stability and tensile properties.Results revealed that the graphene had good dispersity in the HDPE matrix.When the room temperature resistivity was the same as 18.5Ω·㎝,the composite before the graphene modification had a withstand voltage of 250V,and the modified composite had a withstand voltage of 400V.The modified graphene was added to HDPE,and the composite's enhanced withstand voltage performance was significantly improved.When the graphene content was 8.0vol%,the tensile strength of the composite before the graphene modification was 25.6MPa,and the tensile strength of the modified composite was 27.7MPa.When the modified graphene was added to HDPE,the tensile strength of the composite was significantly improved.
