Abstract: Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs),which are also called porous coordination polymers(PCPs),are a class of crystalline materials built from metal ions and organic binding ligands through self-assembly.MOFs have high porosity, large specific surface areas, adjustable pore size and variable functional groups. Thus many potential applications have been proposed in the domains of gas adsorption, drug delivery, catalysis, optical materials, sensors or others.Over the past two decades, the research of MOFs has developed rapidly.Based on key word frequency and highly cited papers analysis, the hot research topics and trends of MOFs in recent years were discussed, providing reference for future research.
