Research progress of geopolymer and its application in tailing treatment

Abstract: Geopolymer is a category of inorganic nonmetal materials,which is made by aluminosilicate solid,with alkaline solution as activator,sodium silicate as structural template.As a new type of inorganic non-metallic materials,geopolymers have broad application prospects,but at present academic research on its synthesis mechanism and its treatment of industrial solid waste is rare.The mechanism and process of geopolymerization were introduced,described briefly the influencing factors of geopolymerization,and summarized the preparation methods and characteristics of geopolymers.In addition,the research and application of geopolymers in tailings treatment were reviewed,and their development prospects were prospected.
