Abstract: ZIF-8/PDMS composite membrane was prepared by filling the zeolite imidazole ester skeleton structure material (ZIF-8) into polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) with polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) porous membrane as the support layer.ZIF-8/PDMS composite membrane was used for pervaporation separation of ethanol/water mixtures.The morphology,surface chemical properties and hydrophobicity of membranes were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM),infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and contact angle (CA).The effects of ratio of metal ions to organic ligands on the size and morphology of ZIF-8 particles as well as the pervaporation performance of ZIF-8 filled PDMS membranes were investigated.The results showed that as the ratio of metal ions to organic ligands was 1∶2,with operation temperature of 50℃,the permeation flux was 182.4g/(m2·h) and the separation factor was 8.8.
