Synthesis of Ni/Al2O3/C and its catalytic performance for methanation of carbon monoxide

Abstract: Ultrathin Ni/Al2O3/C catalyst were successfully prepared through a simple two-step strategy,and its catalytic performance for methanation of carbon monoxide were discussed.Compared with other methods,the product synthesized with solvothermal method was ultra-thin and relatively uniform.The phase composition and morphology of as-obtained products were influenced by various amount of nickelous nitrate.Finally,different contents of nickel catalyst for methanation of carbon monoxide were investigated in a continuous flow fixed bed device,and its catalytic performance was evaluated through CO conversion rate and yield of methanation.
