Preparation and characterization of lignin-based phenolic molding compound

Abstract: Lignin was successfully used to partly replace phenol preparation of thermoplastic phenolic resin,and then ordinary phenolic resin was entirely replaced by lignin-based phenolic resin to prepare phenolic molding compound.In order to find suitable replacement rate of lignin,the impact strength,bending strength and thermal deformation temperature performance of compound were investigated.The results showed that the performance of compound were well,when the substitution rate was 50%.What was more important that the biodegradability were greatly improved,which of the biomass degradation rate was above 90%.
