Abstract: In order to study the effect of hollow glass microspheres(HGMs) on the dynamic performance of silicone rubber coating,the strain rate range of 3000~5000s-1 of the silicone rubber with different content of HGMs was dynamically loaded by the experimental device of split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB).The yield stress and strain,the density of deformation work and the rise of material temperature in the process of adiabatic compression were obtained.The results showed that the silicone rubber with different content of HGMs had an obvious strain rate effect.With the increase of HGMs content,the density of deformation work and adiabatic temperature increased uniformly,but the temperature rise did not exceed 10K.
