Abstract: Taking the chitosan as template in biological template method,mesoporous cerium oxide material was prepared.The material was characterized with XRD,SEM and N2-adsorption and desorption representation with methyl orange solution as simulated dye wastewater.Meanwhile,it researched the influence of adsorbent concentration,pH value and adsorbent time on the adsorbent behavior of simulating methyl orange solution.The result verified that the synthesised cerium oxide had spongy porous microstructure with the specific area of 202m2/g,the void content of 0.199cm3/g and average pore size of 12.48nm.When pH=7,the dosage of adsorbent was 0.3g,methyl orange concentration was 3mg/L and adsorbent time was 30min,the adsorption rate to methyl orange can reach to 61.56%.
