Abstract: The spherical molybdenum disulfide was synthesized by solvothermal method used formamide-ethanol as solvent system,ammonium tetrathiomolybdate as raw material and hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) as surfactant.The sample was characterized by XRD,SEM and TEM.The results showed that the prepared sample was pure MoS2 with spherical morphology.The sample was used as the cathode material assembled into a button cell and characterized by electrochemical performance test.The first charge/discharge capacity of material reached 997.9mA·h/g and 1179.1mA·h/g respectively under a current density of 0.28A/g and the coulombic efficiency reached 84.6%.After 100 cycles,the material retained the capacity of 740.8mA·h/g under the current density of 100 mA/g,the sample showed good cycling stability.
