Influence of preparation condition of waterborne epoxy resin on its particle size and stability

Abstract: The epoxy resin E-51 and the polyethylene glycol (PEG) were adopted to synthesize the epoxy emulsifier,by which the epoxy resin E-51 was emulsified,and the waterborne epoxy resin was obtained.Influential factors of the particle size and distribution,the centrifugal and storage stability of resin were separately analyzed by the laser particle analyzer,the high speed centrifugal method and storage-observing method.Results showed that there were obvious influential laws of the molecular weight of PEG,the material ratio of E-51 and PEG in the epoxy emulsifier and the preparing temperature,the rotating speed of dispersing sand mill on the particle size and stability of resin,but there was nearly no influential law of them on the distribution of particle size.
