Abstract: The morphology and structure of carbon based nanomaterials are varied,including single wall carbon nanotubes,multi walled carbon nanotubes,ordered mesoporous carbon materials,nano porous carbon materials and so on.Because of their special physical and chemical properties such as larger specific surface area,the adsorption of macromolecular organic materials has a good prospect.The preparation of carbon based nanomaterials and their applications in the adsorption of macromolecular organic compounds were reviewed.The problems faced in the field and the future development directions were also discussed.
