Abstract: Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) powders were synthesized by hydrothermal method,and the effect of hydrothermal time on morphology and photocatalytic performance of MoS2 nanomaterials was studied.The MoS2 products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD),and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM).Photocatalytic performance of MoS2 powders for degradation of methylene blue was also measured by degrading methylene blue (MB).Results showed that the longer hydrothermal time was benefits for the more regular morphology of MoS2,resulting in the higher MB degradation efficiency.The MoS2 powders synthesized at 24h can degrade about 91.29% of MB within 90min under irradiation.
